Hendy Wind Farm Ltd is proposing a scheme to deliver seven wind turbines near the village of Penybont. The site is 150 hectares and is currently farmland used for grazing.
The following factors were taken into consideration when the site was chosen:
An electrical sub-station and control building will also be constructed. The exterior materials will be selected to reflect those commonly used in the area and will be subject to approval by the local planning authority.
The construction programme will take approximately 40 weeks from start to finish. Prior to the beginning of construction, off-site highway works will be undertaken to reduce the impact of the project on local roads
